Liverpool and its Liver Birds
The Liver Birds have become an iconic emblem of the city and if you keep your eyes open, you can spot them all over the place. They appear on the shirts of the football club, and in the past, many stories have been told about this mythical bird, which of course has never ever existed. Big green statues of the Liver Birds stand at the very top of the Liver Building's two clock towers. They resembled something part way between an eagle and a cormorant.

The Liverpool Arena - Wow!
Where did this structure come from - another planet? It sure looks like it did anyway. The Liverpool Arena is a big entertainment complex and concerts are regularly staged here. It is situated next to the waterfront of the Albert Dock and the acts that it attracts are quite varied. Some big names, but not that many.

About Granada Studios
The Granada Television Studios are based herre in the city. This is a big independent TV company and lots of daytime programmes get filmed here. The studios in the Albert Dock are where the daily news is filmed. If you are fortunate you might see some celebs.
